Manpower
Human resources
Manpower is undoubtedly, the most important resource for any IT company. It is imperative for the success, rather survival, of any IT company to have available to it, abundant and ready supply of trained manpower.
Greater Noida has the advantage of having access to abundant skilled & semi skilled manpower, which is available from Greater Noida as well as the neighbouring Ghaziabad & NOIDA, where several IT and engineering colleges are already operational.
Knowledge Park
GNIDA is also developing a "Knowledge Park' with the aim of providing quality institutional facilities for education and research.
- The Greater Noida Authority has earmarked 1400 acres for the Knowledge Park. Allotments have already been made to 340 institutions. These institutions range from schools, management institutes, vocational training institutes, institutes for the handicapped, maritime institutes etc.
- 9 Engineering colleges are already functional and 10 more are under construction
- IT campus of Roorkee IIT is coming up
- 1870 acres of land has been developed as a Knowledge Park I, II, III, IV of the Master Plan
- Another 1000 acres is being developed as Knowledge Park V.
Hi Tech City
The Hi Tech City at Greater Noida would be an integrated campus, which would house not only a cluster of technology companies but along with it provide up market housing and social infrastructure. It would be a mini city in itself with all the basic requirements.
- The Hi-Tech City would be spread over an area of between 100 acres to 500 acres depending on the configuration, i.e. the proportion of Built-up space and developed plots
- Depending upon the size, the investment would be of the order of Rs. 100 - 1500 crores for buildings, site development & utilities and common facilities
